Creating Custom Lesson in Desmos

December 3, 2020 Leave a Comment

When I started virtual teaching in August, my colleague shared this quote with me after frustrating few days.

“Focus on how to use the technology to fit your pedagogy rather than how to change your pedagogy to fit the technology.”

Tomohiro Hoshi, Ph.D. Head of School, Stanford Online High School

This has really helped me focus my work during virtual learning and is what drew me to Desmos. I started using Desmos for quick Warm Up activities with my students and it has since developed into full on lessons. I appreciate how it allows me to embed feedback for students into the assignments and allows me to ‘circulate’ through student work as I would do in the classroom.

Let’s learn how to create a custom lesson in Desmos!

Let me know in the comments what questions you have! I have a few more posts planned and I’d love to address those questions.
